What we do
Ramsgate Electrical is a registered electrical contractor covering Ramsgate CT11 and CT12: the Royal Harbour, the West and East Cliffs, St Lawrence, Pegwell and Cliffsend. We work to BS 7671:2018 Amendment 2:2022 (the current edition of the wiring regulations) and we are Part P registered under a recognised Competent Person Scheme, which means we self-certify our own notifiable work to Thanet District Council building control.
What that means for you
You do not need to notify TDC building control separately for a consumer unit replacement, rewire, EV charger install or any other notifiable domestic electrical work we carry out. We lodge the Building Regulations compliance certificate with the scheme within 30 days and you receive a copy in the post. That certificate is what your solicitor asks for at your next remortgage or sale.

- ER G98 and G99 for DNO notification of EV chargers and solar arrays to UK Power Networks Southern.
- MCS certification for solar PV and battery installations that need to claim Smart Export Guarantee tariffs.

Public liability £2 million. Employers' liability where applicable. Certificates on request.

10-year workmanship guarantee on every notifiable installation. Fixed-price quotes. 10% off for anyone on a state pension, no card needed. Certificates within 30 days or 5% discount on the invoice. Anything genuinely unforeseen mid-job gets a stop-and-quote before we carry on; no "extras discovered in the wall" surprises.
